The weather is mild all the year round with temperatures from 17oC to 20oC. While at Tam Dao you can often see the clouds floating at roof level and sometimes they even enter your room. At Ba Na, the clouds cover only the middle part of the mountain and the summit is left clear. On wet days, when viewed from Danang, Ba Na is hidden behind a curtain of rain and cloud, but the peak is always dry. When standing on Mount Ba Na visitors can enjoy the exciting feeling of knowing the rain is falling below them without getting wet. The summit is a small plateau where visitors can enjoy 4 seasons in one day: spring in the morning, summer in the afternoon, autumn in the sunset and winter at night.
In 1925, the French decided that it would be a resort area. Wars and natural disasters have devastated the buildings and infrastructure but there remains nature's endowment of a mild climate, red basalt, granite and marble, vestiges of the virgin forests, whispering pines and murmuring brooks which flow over the marble rocks and disappear into the green forest.
