He succeeds founding general manager Paul Stoll, who has now finished his term with the hotel. The appointment was announced by the Indochina Beach Hotel Joint Venture and Hong Kong-based management company , Furama Hotels and Resorts International (FHRI). Forty three year-old Briton Sean Halliday started his career with the prestigious Savoy Group of London and has since gathered more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in luxurious hotels in London, Phuket , Dubai, The Caspian Sea, including Le Meridien Phuket which was voted one of the Asia's top five resorts during his tenure. "The first time I arrived in Danang I was mesmerized by the beautiful beach and the incredibly attractive architecture of The Furama Resort Danang , which made me determined to become its general manager ahead of all the other candidates" said Halliday.

This year, The Furama Resort was once again selected as the 'Best Resort in Vietnam' by readers of the Vietnam Economic Times, and The Guide magazine. For the fourth consecutive year it was also named Top Resort in Vietnam by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. Located at the gateway to four World Heritage Sites -- the ancient port of "Hoi An", the spiritual centre of the Champa civilization "My Son", the imperial city of "Hue" and the "mystical Phong Nha caves" in Dong Hoi - The Furama is renowned as a world class resort that has hosted numerous visiting heads of state, international celebrities and captains of industry.
